ANNUAL KURBAN DINNER

On January 2, 2007 members of the Turkish Community came together to
celebrate Kurban Bayram.
The Turkish Cultural Center wanted to bring that atmosphere of
celebration to Manhattan. Together, members of Manhattan's Turkish
community shared a meal of Kurban Bayrami. Unfortunately, it was a
school night, so children couldn't attend and receive gifts (though
doubtless, they did back home). Next year the Turkish Cultural
Center will be able to organize a larger celebration, as with many
other Turkish festivals.
