BUSINESS NETWORKING RECEPTION

   The Turkish Business Center of Turkish Cultural Center organizes monthly network socials which aim to bring together Turkish-Americans in the business community who reside and work in the NYC area. During these events, guests are able to interact with each other, make new connections and find out information about small businesses owned by Turkish-Americans living in NYC. The network socials are held at Turkish Cultural Center on the second Thursday of each month.  A guest speaker usually gives a speech during the socials. The honorary guest of the June 2007 reception was Mehmet Ali Erdem, the attaché in charge of Foreign Trade at the Turkish Consulate of New York. He gave the guests in attendance information about investment opportunities in Turkey, especially loans offered by the Turkish government to Turkish-Americans in the areas of R&D, marketing, education and environmental conservation. Mr. Erdem also provided information on the economic growth that has taken place in Turkey within the last five years.
