The Tukrish Cultural Center will be offering
Ebru class beginnning April 17th. Ebru is a classical Ottoman art in which dies
are used to marble sheets of paper, as well as create decorative illustrations,
namely flowers. The course teaches one of the most beautiful Turkish arts,
giving students an understanding of its details and techniques. By the end of
the course, students will have learned 13 special Ebru techniques (listed below)
with which they will be able to shape, color, and picture their own Ebrus at
home.
Not only will students be introduced to a centuries old art, but they will find
that this craft helps release the stress of daily life.
