About Us:
Established in 2006, The Turkish American
Women's Society (TAWSO) is the first Turkish-American women's
organization in New York City. TAWSO is a non-profit organization.
TAWSO offers social activities for the community, provides support for
newcomers and aims to enrich the lives of women and children and hence the
family.
Mission:
The mission of TAWSO is to bring
together women of diverse cultures, to provide opportunities for them to help
themselves and others grow personally and professionally, to further cultural
interests, and to promote fellowship between Turkish and American people.
Membership:
Membership is open to women of all
nationalities. Membership entitles a person to receive a monthly newsletter,
membership directory, and a free activity attending opportunity.
